Privacy and cookie notice
This notice explains what personal data is collected when you visit voix.md or write to voix, why, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is voix, a documentation studio in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. Provider details are on the imprint. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
What is collected
The site has no forms, accounts, comments or newsletter, and its fonts are served from the site itself. Personal data reaches voix, or the services the site runs on, in three ways.
Email you send
When you email voix, the message, your email address, your name and anything you attach are received and stored in the mailbox. They are used to reply, to prepare a quote, to run an engagement and to invoice for it.
They are kept for the length of the conversation or engagement and afterward as long as the law requires, for example for accounting records.
GitHub Pages server logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. When your browser requests a page, GitHub, Inc. processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. GitHub processes this data under the GitHub General Privacy Statement. voix does not receive these logs.
Google Tag Manager and analytics
The site loads Google Tag Manager, a Google service that loads other tags on the page. It is the only tracking on the site, and the tags it loads are used for analytics: which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and roughly where they are.
These tags collect data such as the pages you view, the referring page, your
device and browser type, your approximate location derived from your IP
address, and interactions with the page. Google sets cookies and similar
identifiers to recognize a returning browser, typically first-party cookies
whose names begin with _ga. Google decides how long these cookies last and
describes them in its own documentation.
Google processes this data as described in the Google Privacy Policy, and it may be processed in the United States. voix sees aggregated reports, not your identity.
Why the data is used, and the legal basis
If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or a similar law applies to you, these are the legal bases:

voix does not sell personal data, does not use it for targeted advertising, and does not make automated decisions about you.
Cookies, and how to opt out
No cookie banner is shown on this site today. The analytics tags load with the page, so the choice to refuse them is made in your browser. Any of these works:
- Browser settings. Block or delete cookies for voix.md, or block third-party and tracking cookies in general. Every major browser has this in its privacy settings.
- Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's opt-out add-on stops Google Analytics from receiving data from any site you visit.
- Content blockers. A privacy or content-blocking extension that blocks
googletagmanager.comstops Google Tag Manager and every tag it loads. - Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends one of these signals, it is honored where the tags support it. Support varies, so the options above are the reliable ones.
The site works fully with all of these in place. If a consent banner is added later, this notice will be updated.
Where data is processed
voix works from the Republic of Moldova. GitHub and Google may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. Both describe the safeguards they use for international transfers in the privacy statements linked above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- complain to a data protection supervisory authority, such as the National Center for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova or the authority where you live or work.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You will get a reply within 1 business day and an answer to the request within the period the law requires. You may be asked to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the address the data relates to. For data held by GitHub or Google in their own right, such as their server logs or Google account data, those companies handle the request under their own policies.
California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you and how it is used, to have it deleted or corrected, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
voix does not sell personal information and does not ask for sensitive personal information. The categories collected are the ones described above: identifiers and the contents of your emails, and internet activity collected through analytics. voix honors these rights for California visitors whether or not the law's thresholds apply to a business of this size. Send requests, or have an authorized agent send them, to [email protected].
Children
The site and the services are meant for businesses and are not directed at children. voix does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent personal data, email [email protected] and it will be deleted.
Security
Access to the mailbox that receives your email is restricted, and the site is served over HTTPS. How client material is protected during an engagement is covered by the confidentiality policy.
Changes to this notice
This notice changes when the site or the way data is handled changes, for example if a consent banner or a new service is added. The effective date at the top always shows the current version, and significant changes are also noted on this page.
